Depart the pier for the short drive to Old Rauma, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival at the city centre, take a guided walking tour of this old Nordic wooden town. Narrow, meandering streets and lanes are characteristic of Old Rauma, as they follow medieval routes. Typical features include asymmetric plots, with their impressive gates and wooden fences. Old Rauma is the best-preserved area of wooden houses in the northern countries. The oldest buildings were built after a great fire in the 17th and 18th centuries. This historical area is full of life, and bustles with locals who live and work here.

Historic Landmarks, Church of the Holy Cross, Marela Museum, Free Time

During your guided walking tour of Old Rauma, see historic landmarks and visit the beautiful Church of the Holy Cross. From here, continue on-foot for a visit to Marela, which is a ship-owner's home museum. Following your tour, some free time is made available to explore Old Rauma at your leisure. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the short drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of walking for approximately 1.55 miles (about 2.5 kilometres), at times over uneven and cobblestone surfaces, hills and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and at the sites visited. Walking in Old Rauma is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear warm, comfortable clothing in layers with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection and a weatherproof jacket from the ship. Guests must be at least 12 years old to participate on this tour. In the event services are taking place at the Church of the Holy Cross, an interior visit is not possible.
