Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately one-hour drive to the beautiful Vallarta Botanical Gardens. Upon arrival, take a guided hiking tour of this approximately 296-acre (about 120-hectare) nature preserve and its award-winning botanical gardens. Hike along picturesque trails offering wonderful opportunities to spot a wide array of endemic plants, flowers, and bird species en route to the Greenhouse.

Upon arrival at the Greenhouse, marvel at a comprehensive collection of orchids, including the vanilla orchid, Mexican orchid, and other rare, local species. With over 230 species of birds documented here, the Vallarta Botanical Gardens is also a popular spot for bird-watching, especially the wide variety of hummingbirds that congregate at the bird feeders located adjacent to a small creek at the bottom of the trail. Following your tour, stop by the gift shoppe to browse for a souvenir of your visit, then re-board your coach and commence the approximately one-hour drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.43 yards (about 0.7 kilometres), at times over uneven and natural surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. This tour is not suitable for guests prone to motion sickness, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, sturdy, and closed-toe walking or hiking shoes, and bring sun protection, insect repellent, bottled water, US Dollars, local currency, or credit cards for purchases from the ship. Guests must be at least 12 years old to participate on this tour; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years old. Guests must be at least 18 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. This tour operates during mornings only. The Vallarta Botanical Gardens are closed on Mondays. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions. The driving time between the pier and Vallarta Botanical Gardens is approximately one hour in each direction. The tour sequence and timings may vary. Space on this tour is very limited; we suggest you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
