Aerial Journey into Alaska’s Wilderness

Begin your adventure with a scenic 30-minute floatplane flight over stunning Alaskan landscapes. As you glide through the air, be sure to have your camera ready to capture sweeping views of mountains, rivers, and wildlife below. Touch down at the secluded Waterfall Creek, a little-known, pristine wilderness location that offers unmatched opportunities for brown bear viewing during the salmon run peak in late July to August.

Wildlife Viewing & Nature Encounter

Disembark from the floatplane and enjoy a short walk along the rocky shoreline. Follow the sound of rushing water and splashing salmon as your guide leads you to the best vantage points to observe bears in their natural habitat. Bears may be seen at any time during your time ashore, and your guide will help you find the best spots for photography and viewing. Most of your time will be spent quietly seated, still, and observant to maximize chances of seeing these majestic creatures engaging in their natural behaviors—often fishing in waterfalls during the salmon run.

Return & Wilderness Experience

After your immersive bear-viewing experience, hike back to the waiting floatplane for the scenic flight back to Juneau. This small-group tour offers a rare opportunity to connect with Alaska’s wild side, in an intimate setting that minimizes disturbance to the bears. The additional rain gear and boots are provided to ensure comfort in changing weather conditions. This is an unforgettable wilderness adventure suitable for those aged 12 and older, with a maximum weight of 250 lbs per person.
